چکیده

The technology of 3D reconstruction based on image sequences is an important technology in computer vision field, its application in close range photogrammetry area brings a new research area. For the application of 3D reconstruction in close range photogrammetry field, precision problems must be fully demonstrated. In this paper, error propagation rules in 3D reconstruction process has deduced on the base of matrix analysis method, and a calculation method of covariance matrix has put forward for evaluate error of elements in 3D reconstruction result, at the same time, the effects from related factors to 3D reconstruction result are analyzed. At last, experiments are introduced to demonstrate the precision that 3D automatic reconstruction could reached in general case.

Ultra-Fast Image Reconstruction of Tomosynthesis Mammography Using GPU

Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a technology that creates three dimensional (3D) images of breast tissue. Tomosynthesis mammography detects lesions that are not detectable with other imaging systems. If image reconstruction time is in the order of seconds, we can use Tomosynthesis systems to perform Tomosynthesis-guided Interventional procedures. This research has been designed to study u...

A New Approach for Quantitative Evaluation of Reconstruction Algorithms in SPECT

ABTRACT Background: In nuclear medicine, phantoms are mainly used to evaluate the overall performance of the imaging systems and practically there is no phantom exclusively designed for the evaluation of the software performance.  In this study the Hoffman brain phantom was used for quantitative evaluation of reconstruction techniques. The phantom is modified to acquire t...

Automatic 3D reconstruction and texture extraction for 3D building models from thermal infrared image sequences

This paper discusses the accuracies of two methods for automatic image orientation, 3D reconstruction, and extraction of textures of building facades from thermal IR image sequences. The first method uses the image sequence and camera calibration information only to reconstruct the scene in model coordinates and coregisters this model to a given 3D building model to derive optimized orientation...

3D Object Reconstruction from Uncalibrated Images using an Off-the-Shelf Camera

Three-dimensional (3D) objects reconstruction using just bidimensional (2D) images has been a major research topic in Computer Vision. However, it is still a hard problem to address, when automation, speed and precision are required and/or the objects have complex shapes or image properties. In this paper, we compare two Active Computer Vision methods frequently used for the 3D reconstruction o...

Fast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction

Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...
